Bell Helmets – a career-long sponsor of PIRTEK Team Murray Indy 500 rookie, Matt Brabham – have joined the team’s entry into the Tag Heuer Pit Stop Challenge – the CK Crew.
Bell Helmets will supply safety helmets to each of the seven members of the CK Crew for their training and entry into the Pit Stop Challenge, held on Miller Lite Carb Day, Friday May 27.
The CK Crew has come together with the support of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. Each sale of American Sniper, the Chris Kyle Commemorative Edition Blu-Ray donates $1 to the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation and with each purchase, a special offer from Forged Clothing is included.
Established in 1954, Bell Helmets has become a global leader in helmet technology.
“Bell is all about breaking boundaries, that is what we’ve been built on and that has driven us for more than 60 years,” said Bell Racing’s President and COO, Kyle Kietzmann.
“When Matt Brabham came to us and outlined what the CK Crew is all about – it is right in line with our philosophy.
“The guys and girls from the CK Crew keep our country and communities safe, just like all our military service members, veterans and first responders – we want to keep them safe while they enter this competition.”
Matt Brabham has been excited and inspired by the CK Crew since it was launched at the Firestone St Petersburg Grand Prix – and this week it became a reality when all seven members arrived in Indianapolis.
“These guys and girls do such a great job in protecting America,” said Brabham – who makes his Indy 500 debut on Sunday.
“I am happy that we can use our program to make a difference in the lives of others while also highlighting on Memorial Day Weekend the work that the military and first responders do on a daily basis – much of which goes unheralded.
“Bell Helmets have been a loyal supporter of mine since my career began as a seven year-old in karts in Australia. I will proudly wear one of their helmets in my first Indy 500 and I am delighted that they have committed to the CK Crew program.”
Brabham – who will follow in the wheel tracks of his Grandfather, Sir Jack and father Geoff at Indy – was part of a special celebration during the Angie’s List Grand Prix – where a local first responder couple was granted a Chris Kyle Frog Foundation Revitalization Retreat by Team Ambassador, Taya Kyle.
“It was a very emotional moment to see how much it meant to these guys,” reflected Brabham.
“It was so warmly received among the group in our hospitality unit. It again brought home the significance of what our military and first responder families go through daily.”
The CK Crew have been training at PitFit Training and KV Racing Technology under the watchful eye of renowned IndyCar trainer, Jim Leo. A whole range of activities have been taking place with them throughout Indianapolis in the leadup to the Tag Heuer Pit Stop Challenge.
Bell Helmets joins a series of globally recognised brands to support PIRTEK Team Murray, including PIRTEK USA – an internationally recognised hydraulic and industrial hose franchise.
