One the the world’s leading outdoor adventure apparel suppliers, Kryptek Outdoor Group has joined PIRTEK Team Murray for its 100th Indianapolis 500 quest this weekend with Matt Brabham.
Through its association with Chris and Taya Kyle and the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, Kryptek’s distinct ‘camo’ design is featured throughout the wrap applied to PIRTEK Team Murray’s Dallara IndyCar and through the team apparel, which has been designed to support the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.
The Kryptek Outdoor Group logo will also adorn the #61 PIRTEK Team Murray Chevrolet.
“The Indianapolis 500 is a true test of man in some pretty tough conditions,” said Butch Whiting, founder and owner, Kryptek Outdoor Group. “Kryptek prides itself on delivering combat proven features throughout its entire range, all of which are continuously tested and proven in extreme conditions – much like Matt Brabham hitting top speed of 240mph around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!
“We know race fans love our product, so it is a great fit with us and a great story with how PIRTEK Team Murray is giving back to military and first responder families in association with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.”
Team owner, Brett Murray welcomed Kryptek aboard.
“From when we first started designing the racecar, Kryptek was going to be part of this arrangement,” said Murray. “Prior to his passing, Chris Kyle was instrumental in developing and testing Kryptek’s product line. It is something that resonated with us and knowing the relationship that Taya holds with Butch and his team completed that circle for me.”
The PIRTEK Team Murray CK Crew has been established with the support of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment through the American Sniper: Chris Kyle Commemorative Edition Blu-Ray – where every sale benefits the Foundation.
The Crew has been training in Indianapolis for the Tag Heuer Pit Stop Challenge this Friday with PitFit Training and will take on the best crews in the Verizon IndyCar Series in the annual competition that will be televised on NBC Sports Network.
The crew is made up of veterans that knew and served with Chris Kyle, along with leading members of the first responder community from throughout the USA.
Sunday’s 100th Indianapolis 500 is a sellout, with a crowd approaching 400,000 people expected to turn out for the event.
22-year-old rookie, Matt Brabham is one of five first timers in the race and will start 27th. He creates his own history on Sunday by elevating the Brabham name alongside that of Vukovich and Andretti as the only families to have three generations start the race.
