Speedcafe.com Becomes Media Partner of PIRTEK Team Murray

Speedcafe.com has been announced as an official media partner of PIRTEK Team Murray in the build-up to next year’s 100th running of the Indianapolis 500.

PIRTEK Team Murray was officially unveiled in Sydney today by team owner, Brett ‘Crusher’ Murray, who also created Speedcafe.com six years ago.

PIRTEK Team Murray will field a car in the Angie’s List Grand Prix on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course on May 14 and the Indianapolis 500 on May 29, to be driven by third third-generation racer, Matt Brabham – who will make his IndyCar debut.

Speedcafe.com will help spread the word of the PIRTEK Team Murray program and accelerate the team’s fan base on a local and international basis.

In return, the team will carry Speedcafe.com branding and create opportunities to help expand the site’s national and international footprint.

PIRTEK, the team’s naming rights partner, has been a part of Speedcafe.com’s family of Platinum Partners since the site’s inception in October 2009.

“The development of Speedcafe.com has been an incredible ride and we have really been humbled by its success and the depth and quality of our readership and fan base,” said Murray.

“Obviously Speedcafe.com is a great tool to help us get the message out about PIRTEK Team Murray and encourage and give all our readers the opportunity to become a part of the team.

“We also intend to use PIRTEK Team Murray as a tool to continually build the Speedcafe.com brand in the US and to increase its ever-growing international audience.

“We know everyone has their own particular favourite category of motorsport, but we see this program as a real ‘community’ project and we would love to have as many fans as possible along for the ride.”

Brabham has been a Speedcafe.com reader since day one.

“This whole program has been a dream come true for ‘Crusher’, myself and my family,” said Brabham.

“To have the strength of Speedcafe.com behind our campaign is fantastic and gives us an automatic fan base to build on.

“The site is a go-to outlet for everyone I know that is interested in racing in the US, Australia and other parts of the world. It is the first site I visit every morning and the last site I visit every night.

“I am proud to carry the Speedcafe.com branding on my helmet visor and race suit and I am looking forward to some of the interactive fan projects that are planned.”
